MAGICAL BUTTERFLY HUNT

Today we went on a magical butterfly hunt in the nursery garden! 🦋

The children had so much fun spotting beautiful butterflies hidden among the plants and flowers. But these weren’t just any butterflies — they were ones we made ourselves! Using bright paints and plenty of imagination, the children created their own colourful butterfly wings, which we laminated and hung around the garden.

​We counted how many we could find, matched colours, and talked about how real butterflies look and move. It was a fantastic way to combine creativity, nature, and early maths skills in the sunshine.
